Short Term Certificates of Deposit

• Terms range from 30 to 364 days.
• Interest rate is fixed for the length of the term chosen.
• Unless otherwise stated all rates quoted are per annum.
• Interest is paid at maturity.
• 1 year open certificates are cashable after 30 and 90 days without penalty.
• Minimum deposit is $5,000.

Auto-Renewable Short Term Deposits

• Terms are 30 days with auto rollover until further notice.
• Interest rate resets every 30 days.
• Interest is paid every 30 days by direct deposit or compounded.
• Only eligible for non-registered products.
• Minimum deposit is $5,000.

We will require you to complete a Deposit Application and Client Information and Consent Form and provide a cheque drawn on a Canadian Financial Institution.

Certificates of Deposit Terms and Conditions

• No interest will be paid in respect of any period beyond maturity. The Corporation will pay interest on the monies deposited pursuant hereto at the rate of interest as set out on the face of the certificate, except in the event that the monies are withdrawn on a date other than the maturity date at the discretion of the Corporation.
• The certificate is not redeemable prior to maturity except at death of the registered holder.
• The certificate is assignable as collateral, or can be re-registered ($25.00 fee will apply). Transfers in kind are not allowed.
• Unless the Corporation is otherwise notified prior to the close of business on the date of maturity, the Corporation may at its discretion, renew the deposit (principal and unpaid interest, if applicable) for a sixty (60) day Certificate of Deposit at the Corporation's then prevailing rate of interest for that term. If cashed after 30 days but prior to the 60 day maturity date, the 30 day rate in effect at the date of issue will apply.
