David had mortgage arrears and was at risk of losing his property

David is in his mid-fifties and has owned his home located in Hamilton since 1994. Due to the borders being closed, the last six months have been challenging for David, as he lost his job as an international truck driver.

The income disruption caused David to fall behind on his mortgage payments, and he was at risk of losing his house under power of sale with his financial institution. With a low FICO score of 522, he turned to his broker for help. David’s broker explained to Home Trust that David secured a full-time position as a delivery person three months ago and successfully completed his probation period.

Home Trust offered David a Classic refinance, allowing him to pay off his first mortgage and mortgage arrears.
