Katrina had two jobs and a high TDS when it came time to refinance

Katrina has been working full-time as a teacher for almost 20 years, in addition to owning a trucking company. She has lived in her Kitchener home for over 15 years and recently took out a second mortgage to renovate the house and make it her dream home. Katrina’s TDS is high, but she has a good FICO score in the high 700s.

After listening to her story, Katrina’s broker learned that she used the second mortgage to build a new kitchen, pave her driveway and install a swimming pool. The extensive renovations contributed to the increase in the value of her home. Katrina also told her broker that the trucking company made her payments on a truck.

Home Trust refinanced the first and the high-interest rate second mortgage to lower Katrina’s monthly payment.
