A secured credit card is a credit card that is backed by collateral, which is typically in the form of a cash deposit that you provide to the secured credit card issuer.
The Home Trust Secured Visa is a highly effective way to build or repair your credit history because almost everyone who applies and puts down a deposit is approved – and once that happens, we start reporting your file to the credit bureau every month, which helps to establish your credit history.
The Home Trust Secured Visa is designed for customers with unconventional credit histories, such as students, newcomers to Canada, people with past credit issues and self-employed individuals.
Your credit limit will be determined by the amount you put in your security deposit, which can range from a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $10,000.
The Home Trust Secured Visa is accepted wherever you see the Visa symbol across more than 200 countries and territories.
